I am very proud to announce to you all that I became an IAKP Kambo Trainer this month after a week intensive training course at the beginning of this month. It was a fabulous opportunity to deepen my knowledge of Kambo, to improve my Kambo and presentation skills, to connect with other Kambo practitioners and meet the founder of the International Association of Kambo Practitioners known as the IAKP. Returning to Glastonbury this time to be a student was also great as was reconnecting with some lovely colleagues!
If you do not know yet, Kambo, the amazon tribe sacred medicine, found me a few years back after having attended shamanic ceremonies in Brazil: click here to find out what is Kambo. Kambo 'called' me when I was ready and it changed my life for the better. I have met many Kambo practitioners over the years until one day my practitioner at the time suggested that I became a practitioner myself. And the rest is history...
Now 4 years down the line, I am an Advanced Kambo practitioner, preparing to become a Master Practitioner and since the 2nd April I am also a Kambo Trainer! This means that I can now train people like you to become Kambo practitioners: yes if you train with me you could become a Kambo practitioner too by learning all the esential skills necessary to be able serve this sacred indigenous remedy to all those that need it.
It was an intensive week: all IAKP trainings are intense because full of very interesting subjects to study around Kambo; the level of proficient skills expected is also high. The IAKP is truly a professional association that takes our role extremely seriously and I would not train with anyone else!
Our trainer was the IAKP founder herself: Karen Darke and her knowldege and life dedication to Kambo are very impressive. She spent several years living in the Amazon jungle with tribes to learn everything about their way of living with nature and their use of Kambo. Her Kambo stories are so numerous and amazing, they make for a very exciting course!
Becoming a Kambo trainer happened naturally again as I have discovered that coaching and helping people learn new skills is also a passion of mine. I have coached many people in my past roles in the corporate world and enjoyed it so much I wanted to become a trainer a long time ago. Finally my long term goal is attained and I am so looking forward to training new people to become Kambo practitioners and help spread all the benefits of Kambo in the world.
