What are Kambo Sticks?

Kambo sticks are boards of wood which are used to store the secretion of the Giant Green Monkey Frog onto. The secretion from the frog is spread onto the wooden board and allowed to dry ready for safe transport. The secretion from the frog is widely known as Kambo.

How to use Kambo Sticks

After the burns are made using the Tamishi Vine, the shaman or practitioner applies a small amount of water onto the Kambo Stick which wets the frog secretion allowing it be scraped into small balls about 5mm in diameter. These wet balls can then be applied to the person receiving the Kambo.
