Just back from a two week holiday in Brazil! It was the 7th time in a row that I travelled to Brazil so for this special anniversary, I wanted to take someone really special to me on this trip: my mother! Bear in mind that my mother is 83 years of age so it was also something big and very brave of her to do!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This trip was a wish come true for me as I had wanted to take my mum on a longhaul trip with me for many years and it could not have gone better!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everything aligned to make this trip just perfect, even our flights times aligned when arriving from different cities into London Heathrow airport!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We started with a week in Rio de Janeiro visiting all the key sights and even new ones for me too! The heat and humidity were difficult to start with but we slowly got used to them and visited everything we wanted to see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highlight in Rio de Janeiro was our last night: dinner on Copacabana beach with Brazilian Samba dancers as entertainment! Fascinating and exhilirating at the same time, we couldn't take our eyes of them! \ud83d\ude0d Our arrival coincided with the end of the carnaval (a week long national holiday in Brazil) so the whole city was buzzing with many peope in gorgeous costumes all around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then we went onto my little heaven on earth: Lumiar!  This is the 7th year in a row that I go to this specific place to meet with my dear friends and shamans Tayn\u00e3 and Daniel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a rented house by the river Maca\u00e9, we were able to relax and visit a few nature wonders nearby like waterfalls.\u00a0 Two plant ceremonies were organised for me which were just awesome. Attending plant medicines ceremonies in the rain forest is just something else! Surrounded by deep nature and night creatures like frogs and big insects, it feels like you are on a much deeper journey and deeply connected with the plant itself. Deep work takes place there when you are surrounded by such environment, when you are exactly where the Mother plant comes from and she is everywhere in the trees!\u00a0 I came back transformed and full of energy for life!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year trip was just made very special with the presence of my mother as she was able to meet my shamans and my favourite plant medicine.\u00a0 It was so nice for me to spend that extra time with her as we rarely spend so much time together.\u00a0 Deep gratitude fills me when I think about this trip.\u00a0 Now my mum fully understands why I return to Lumiar every year but we are already thinking of our next trip together and I cannot wait!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brazil is the country where plant medicines or tribe medicines come from so this is why we have decided with my shamans Tany\u00e3 and Daniel to organise a yoga and plant medicine retreat this December in Brazil.\u00a0 This retreat will start straight after Christmas in order to be able to spend New Year's Eve in Brazil; it will be for a small intimate group and one week long but of course you can stay longer to visit Rio de Janeiro.\u00a0 Included will be yoga, three plant ceremonies, Kambo, sightseeing and all your meals. and accommodation.\u00a0 Register your interest now as places will go quick!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
