That might be because the attendees usually are dedicated yoga students but for us instructors, it is really pleasurable to teach them.

This time we held the workshop at the Positivity Centre in Burnham (Berkshire county) and had 10 students or 5 pairs. And I can tell you they all had a great time! We all laughed so much that next door neighbours commented afterwards. All the students tried all the poses except for those we knew were only as demonstrations of how further you can take some poses.

Whilst you might think it is easier to practice as a pair, and yes this can happen for Tree pose for example, others require more strength and balance as you depend on your partner to get into a pose. Pair yoga is not only great fun but I think it is actually an excellent practice and more people should practice this type of yoga.

As it was near Christmas, we all went to a local pub afterwards for a drink and getting to know each other a bit more. Again the feedback was excellent and we left elated. The perfect way to end the year with our students.

So if you're student and you happen to come across another Pair Yoga workshop, sign up immediately!! I guarantee you will love it.

I hope you all had a nice Christmas and enjoy reading my blogs.

Namaste

Christel 🙏

As you know I love running workshops with my students on a subject that brings joy, fun and challenges them all.
